Andreas Stahl: Umeå’s Real Steel Welterweight

Andreas Stahl, 36, has spent more than a decade building a 17-6 professional record while fighting out of Umeå, Vasterbotten. Standing six feet tall and known as Real Steel, the Swedish welterweight has carved out a career across Europe’s regional circuit—more than half of his 23 fights have taken place on home soil.

Ranked 51st in the Europe region and also listed in the Europe Nordic subregion, Stahl meets the ranking bodies’ criteria by having contested at least two of his last six bouts in each area. His last two contests at welterweight reflect the weight class where he has competed most recently and where he continues to stake his claim against the continent’s depth.
